Links: Dryers, Jorts, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.

Welcome back to Wednesday Links!

First off, thank you for all your kind messages from last week! Sarah and I recently had our end of the year check-in. (She’s a wonderful boss, by the way, and I mean it.). She always asks me to come prepared with what things on the site I’ve enjoyed this year. I named this post because we’ve created such a nice little community in the comments and it’s been a lovely bright spot. So thank you all again! I picture us all cozy with our coffee, tea, or beverage of choice, gossiping about all the weird and wonderful things on the internet.

We’re almost to Christmas, too! Just a reminder to treat yourself kindly during the season. There’s a lot of pressure on both gift-giving, finances, and social obligations.

While nothing will top The New York Times Guy Fieri restuarant critique for me, this review of a 20+ tasting menu was pretty damn good. Also, the restaurant responded…with an image of a horse.

Moonstruck is one of my favorite movies and I just loved this New Yorker article on the lessons the movie can teach us.

You can try to will yourself into the life you think appropriate. You can tell yourself that you won’t crack. But you could also flip over the table and see what happens.

I can’t stop watching these videos of a guy matching paint colors!

Have you caught up on the Jeans and Jorts saga? And yes, there is a delightful update!

TikTok is so full of talented creators, as evidenced by this song inspired by a dryer’s squeaky sounds.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
